One report for the completed day

A closing message is most useful when its figures come from the station's operating records. PumpBook prepares the settlement summary and PDF after the Daily Book is completed, bringing sales, collections, expenses, stock and final carry-forward into the closing picture.

The report helps a dealer review the day's result away from the station. Detailed entries remain in PumpBook for authorised users to examine when a figure needs checking.

How WhatsApp closing reports work

  1. Configure recipients. Choose the people who should receive the station's closing reports.
  2. Review the Daily Book. Complete readings and entries, and check totals before closing.
  3. Close and share. PumpBook prepares the summary and PDF for the configured WhatsApp recipients.
  4. Review delivery status. Administrators can inspect message activity and delivery progress.

Delivery depends on the WhatsApp service and valid recipient configuration. A submitted message and a delivered message are different statuses; check delivery activity if a report is missing.

Mobile access as well as WhatsApp updates

WhatsApp reports provide a quick closing update. For the underlying Daily Book, stock figures or credit accounts, sign in to PumpBook from a mobile or desktop browser. The installable web app provides a convenient shortcut, and an internet connection is required.

WhatsApp sign-in uses a one-time code for the number saved in the user's PumpBook profile. Report recipients and application access should be configured for the people authorised to see the station's information.
